The import of almost all types of products from foreign countries is reduced

According to preliminary data of custom statistics, in January - August 2013 the import of goods from foreign countries was up to $178 212,8 million, by 2.3 % up, compared with the same period in 2012, according to the website FCS.

In August of 2013, the value of import from non-CIS countries was $23 107.8 million compared with July 2013 down by 7.0%.

The import of chemical products down by 8.9 % to $ 3 738.8 million, engineering products down by 10.8 % to $ 11 378.0 million, food and raw materials for their production down 4.9 % to $ 2 679.9 million, while the imports of textiles and footwear up to 9.9 % to $ 1 849.3 million.

In the group of food products and raw materials for their production, the imports of cereals down by 42.6 %, vegetables by 40.2 %, sugar - by 31.3 %, fruits - by 26.9 %, vegetable oil - by 11.7 %, meat and by-products - by 4.1 %, dairy products - by 1.9%. While the value of import of fish in August was up by 16.9 %, of tobacco by 16.8 %, alcohol and non-alcohol products - by 8.7 %.
